Our Story
Cornerstone Baptist Church is a new church planted in North Pole, Alaska. Our story really begins at the end of 2022. A group of believers began gathering in various houses seeking the Lord for some urgent needs. Soon those prayer meetings became times of worship, prayer, and praise. God was beginning to unite a group of people for something special.
After several discussions and much prayer, Cornerstone Baptist Church had their charter service and was officially founded on January 1st, 2023. From day one, God was at work. For several months we met in a garage, living rooms, and even some outdoor services.
As we dillegently sought the Lord from day one about a place to call home, God miraculously opened a door and provided for us a place perfectly suited for our needs with much room to grow. on July 30th, 2023, we held our first service at our new location at 3555 Laurance Rd in North Pole, AK.
We are excited about the road ahead and what God has planned for our church family. We truely believe God has planted us here for such a time as this to make an imact in our corner of the world. Our Pastor
Pastor Aaron Richert

Pastor Aaron Richert grew up in the small town of Big Bear City, CA. After graduating high school, he joined the US Army which lead him to Fairbanks, Alaska. While stationed in Alaska, God lead him to a church where we got saved, met his wife, Karrie, and surrended to serve God with his life.
After getting out of the military, he immediatly got involved with church planting work in Southern California, while simultaniously doing his Bible college studies.
After 10 years of church planting ministries, God lead him and his family back to Alaska. After serving in two different churches, God lead them to launch out and start a church in North Pole where Cornerstone Baptist Church was born.
Aaron and Karrie have four children, Sadie, Jaiden, Tess, and Charlotte.
